A TANTALISING evening of casino, music, dancing and cocktails will be held at The Ritz in Penzance on Saturday in aid of the refugee crisis in Europe.

The venue is being glammed up to be an Ab Fab Christmassy event with tickets at £12 which gets you $50 worth of chips. It follows the success of the first casino night at Gallery PZ in aid of the Philippines nearly two years ago. Try your luck on the roulette, poker and black jack tables with professional croupiers. After you have played to you hearts content and won a pile of chips you can turn your winnings into something special at the auction with David Lay. There will be “a fabulous smorgasbord of prizes” donated by local businesses, including hotel stays, meals at top restaurants, art, beauty treatments and even lingerie vouchers. Entertainment is provided by aerial silk sky dancers and cocktails served by expert mixers from the Rum And Crab Shack in St Ives. After the auction it’s all about the dancing with some of the hottest DJs in Cornwall mashing it up until 3am. Tickets are £12 in advance and £15 on the door. If it’s all about the music you can go for just dancing after 11.30pm for £6.

Tickets are available from the Vault in Penzance, Salt Bar in Hayle, the Rum And Crab Shack in St Ives or online at www.tickethive.co.uk/store

The money raised will go to help support the thousands of desperate and frightened refugees arriving in Europe fleeing conflict and war. The proceeds from the evening will be divided to between three organisations – Medicine Sans Frontier, Refugee Aid based in Penzance and Rachel Emec and team.
