There are many, many volunteer opportunities available at Refugee Aid!

Here’s a sample:

  • Collect and donate items essential for survival of refugee families (this can be done anywhere by using mail delivery and retail shipping). Click this tab to view the list of items needed and shipping instructions.

  • Advocate for better treatment of refugees and migrants through letter writing, calls to legislators, and visits to legislators (we can provide a custom advocacy kit for your community).

  • Community outreach to offices, churches, organizations, schools, etc., to educate, raise awareness and seek assistance to address the plight of the refugee families (we can provide you with a custom kit for community outreach).

  • Write and visit refugees, asylees, and migrants detained in Arizona immigrant detention centers.

  • Sort and pack items to be transported to shelters in Mexicali, Mexico.

  • Transport items from Phoenix to our site in Calexico, California.

  • Volunteer to assist refugees released by ICE at the Phoenix bus depot.

  • Learn more about immigration history with a PowerPoint prepared by one of our volunteers and shown around Arizona and other states to critical acclaim. Contact victoraronow@aol.com.

Please email refugeeaid@icloud.com to learn more about these opportunities to volunteer!
